I use AVG Free and it’s what i install when I work on other peoples PC’s. What most home users need to check on is that most of the ISP providers offer free licensed security suites for home setups. For instance, I’m located in Oklahoma City and Cox Cable offers Mcafee Security Suite license for 3 PC’s for free to their internet customers.<\/p>\n

So what I do when i’m working on someones PC is install AVG free then tell folks to contact Cox Cable or AT&T and request the free anti-virus suite. I do the AVG Free install just in case the person get’s lazy and never checks with the ISP provider to get the free software and don’t forget to disable the defender or any other anti-virus program before installing the security suite. They will conflict with each other thinking that the other is a virus or mal-ware.<\/p>\n
